Virtues of Jumuah

The importance of Jumuah (the congregational salah) is highlighted in this sūrah. This is a time where everything in our lives should come to a standstill and we should surrender ourselves exclusively to our creator Allāh subhanahu wa ta’ala, which is what our beloved Prophet (saw) had shown this ummah. Nothing takes precedence above Allah subhanahu wa taala.

In Sūrah Jumu’ah, Allah subhanahu wa taala mentions the three objectives as to why the Prophet (saw) was sent to these people: To rehearse to them His Signs, to purify them and to teach them the Book (Qur’ān).
